Efficient and convenient design

Elaborate on the types of 3D printing resins compatible with the Wash & Cure 3 Plus

The Anycubic Wash & Cure 3 Plus is a versatile post-processing station compatible with all 3D printing resins that cure with UV light, typically at a wavelength of 405nm. The key difference in compatibility lies in the cleaning solution required for the washing function. The two main types of compatible resins are standard resins and water-washable resins.

Standard (alcohol-soluble) resins

Standard resins are the most common type used in resin 3D printing and require a solvent for cleaning.

Size Upgrade

Compared with Anycubic Wash & Cure Plus, the washing volume of the washing basket is increased by about 13.4% to 7.6 liters, and the total volume of the washing bucket is 12 liters, which is suitable for light-curing 3D printers of 10.6 inches and below.

Dual – Layer Design

A brand-new dual-layer curing platform has been adopted, which increases the number of models cured per cycle and greatly improves the curing efficiency.

IPA Saving

The dual-layer PP cleaning basket supports washing with a platform, with adjustable heights of 150mm and 250mm. Print platforms from 7.6 to 10.6 inches for maximum alcohol efficiency.

Overall Curing

The Anycubic Wash & Cure 3 Plus features new lamb bead arrangement with a lens light source, offering 20% better curing uniformity for improved model quality.

Partial Enhanced

The innovative Flexicure gooseneck lights design increases the energy value by 30,000uW/cm²* in the 1~3cm irradiation range, which greatly enhances the curing effect on details such as the top of the model and the figure’s skirt.

Silent Efficiency

Sealed structural design and software optimization reduce noise interference for a quieter work environment.

Simple Operation

Cleaning and curing dual modes, easily selected with one click; Enhanced Gooseneck light curing mode can be easily toggled on and off with one click. Cleaning and curing time can be easily adjusted from 1 to 30 minutes at will.

Water-washable resins

Water-washable resins contain hydrophilic components that make them soluble in water, eliminating the need for solvents like IPA.

Compatibility across types

The Anycubic Wash & Cure 3 Plus can easily handle both types of resin simply by changing the cleaning solution used in the bucket. The UV LEDs inside the machine cure all standard 405nm resins, regardless of how they are washed.

Anycubic Wash & Cure 3 Plus: Pros and cons

What’s In Box

What are the recommended IPA concentrations for cleaning standard resins?

For cleaning standard 3D printing resins, the most effective and widely recommended concentration of Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) is 90% or higher. Higher percentages offer a faster and more thorough cleaning process, which is especially important for removing residual resin from detailed areas.

Here is a breakdown of why different IPA concentrations are recommended:

Two-stage wash process for best results

Even with a high-concentration IPA, a two-stage wash process is recommended for the cleanest possible finish.

  1. “Dirty” wash: For the first wash, use a bath of IPA that has already been used to clean several prints. This will remove the bulk of the uncured resin.
  2. “Clean” wash: A second, final wash in fresh, high-concentration IPA will dissolve any remaining residue, ensuring a perfect, tack-free surface before the final cure.

FAQs

What printers is the Wash & Cure 3 Plus compatible with?

It works with any 405nm UV resin printer that has an LCD screen up to 10.6 inches.

What kind of resin can I use?

You can use any 405nm UV-curing resin. For cleaning:

Water-washable resin: Use regular water. Never mix cleaning solutions.

Standard resin: Use 90%+ Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA).

How do I use the “Flexicure” gooseneck light?

This extra UV light on a flexible arm can be aimed at hard-to-reach areas of a model for enhanced, localized curing. Just position the light and toggle the “FlexiCure” mode.

How does the dual-layer washing basket work?

The height-adjustable basket lets you wash in two ways:

  • Basket mode: Place models directly in the basket.
  • Platform mode: Hang the build plate above the tank, which saves IPA, especially for smaller models.

Why are my prints turning white or staying sticky?

  • White film: Your IPA concentration is likely too low (use 90%+), or the prints were not completely dry before curing.
  • Sticky prints: The cure time was too short, or your cleaning solution is too saturated. Try a second, clean wash and increase curing time.

How can I maintain my cleaning solution?

To extend the life of your cleaning solution:

  1. Let the used liquid sit for 10+ hours to let resin particles settle.
  2. Filter the top, clearer liquid into a new container for reuse.
  3. Cure the remaining resin sludge by leaving it in sunlight. Dispose of the solidified resin as solid waste.

What if the washing rotor stops spinning?

First, check for any solid objects blocking the rotor. If the solvent is overly dirty, replace it and clean any hardened sediment from the bottom of the bucket.

Why does the machine beep and stop?

The machine has a safety lock that pauses operation if the anti-UV lid is not correctly or fully closed. Secure the cover to resume the cycle.
